

Next you will type in your team name so you can select the channel for sending Simple In/Out notifications followed by clicking the Set up a connector button: Your Microsoft Teams administrator will need to make sure that Third-party apps are enabled in the Microsoft Teams admin center in order to add the Simple In/Out connector. Simple In/Out provides a connector that you can use to integrate Simple In/Out status updates into your Teams channel of choice. If you're an administrator of your Microsoft 365 account, you'll also have the ability to consent on behalf of your entire organization. You must accept this in order for us to read this information. This will ask you if it's Ok to share your Microsoft profile and presence information with Simple In/Out. When completing either of the above, you may receive a screen similar to the below. This will take you through the steps to authorize Simple In/Out access to your Microsoft presence information. Here, you can click on the button to Sign in with Microsoft. Microsoft Teamsįrom within the Simple In/Out integration within Microsoft Teams, click on the Settings tab. Here you will click the button to Sign in with Microsoft.

When logged into your Simple In/Out account on our website, click Settings in the upper-right, followed by Microsoft 365 on the left. We offer two places to enable our Microsoft 365 integration: and from within the Microsoft Teams integration. Currently Available, Busy, and Do Not Disturb are considered IN, while the rest are considered OUT. In these cases, Simple In/Out will do its best to match those to either an IN or OUT with an appropriate comment. Microsoft has a number of additional statuses that Simple In/Out does not support (such as On a Call, Do Not Disturb, etc). This makes the other Calendar integration somewhat redundant.

In our experience, Microsoft Teams will update your status both at the beginning and end of events on your Outlook calendar if Microsoft Teams is also open at the time. We wouldn't advise having both this calendar integration and Microsoft 365 integration enabled at the same time. Simple In/Out offers calendar integration as well, which works on the industry-standard iCal format. Utilizing this integration, Simple In/Out can consume your presence information from Microsoft Teams (and everything that affects that status, such as Outlook). When your Microsoft Teams status changes, Simple In/Out will change its status to match.Ī note about calendars. This is current a Public Beta feature because it's built upon APIs that Microsoft still has in their beta program. We also provide one-click options via My Quick Picks and Company Quick Picks. After sending, the Board tab will reflect your status update. You then click the Update Status button to send the update to Simple In/Out. To update your status, you can type an optional comment to add additional context to your update. We now have an integration which sends your Microsoft Teams presence with Simple In/Out, which you can activate within the Settings tab (and can read about further below). Simple In/Out's status is the status that you appear on the Simple In/Out board, and within all the Simple In/Out apps and on. Do note: this status is different than any Microsoft Teams presence/availability information, which is separate. Update your Simple In/Out status directly from within Microsoft Teams. Once you've logged in, you're all set! The Simple In/Out board is here and will automatically refresh your data throughout the day. Once you have the Simple In/Out tab on the left, click on it to use Simple In/Out. To keep this tab available at all times, right-click on the tab and select Pin.
